A women's fitness event hosted by Los Sueños Marriott Hotel will include with a 4-kilometer run along the golf course, ending at the beach; a 1-km trip on a standup paddle board; and a 60-minute yoga class by Krama Yoga Center in the hotel's gardens.
Movember began in Australia in 2003 when a group of Australian men decided to grow moustaches as a show of support for their friend who had prostate cancer. Since then, the moustache has become the official banner of the fight against this disease, and the movement has become popular in at least 20 countries around the world.
The comic features 17 different characters, including Carilo, a child obsessed with soccer; Jimmy, who believes in aliens; and Mariela, an environmentalist who wears a heart in honor of sea turtle conservationist Jairo Mora.
“The festival is a cultural show in which indigenous peoples and diasporas’ cultures will be shared, enhancing the African, Chinese, Jewish and other cultures that form part of the national identity,” said organizer Carol Britton.
