Pic of the Day: Immersed in nature on a quiet mountain road

Not 30 minutes out of San José, Costa Rica, you can find yourself fully immersed in nature.

San José is part of Costa Rica’s Central Valley, and it’s bordered to the north by the Central Range — which includes Irazú, Poás, Turrialba and Barva volcanoes — and to the south by the Talamanca Range.

This means it’s easy to escape the city, especially if you have a car with four-wheel drive. Just point your vehicle toward a mountain and follow the road until it looks like this.

As for the featured photo: We’re going to keep its precise location a secret. After all, the adventure is part of the fun.
