Animal Care in Nosara Costa Rica Raises Funds for Animals

Nosara Animal Care, an organization that connects generous animal lovers with local stray cats and dogs in need in coastal Guanacaste, has been focusing its efforts this week on Jade, a dog requiring urgent medical care.

“This is Jade and he really needs our help,” the organization stated Tuesday in a Facebook post. “He needs extensive medical attention and tests in San José which we need donations for. But he also really needs a new home – a temporary foster [home] will do because for now he has nowhere to go.”

U.S. tax-deductible donations to support Nosara Animal Care and its work with Jade and other animals in need in the Guanacaste beach town can be made through Amigos of Costa Rica, a registered nonprofit in the United States that receives donations on behalf of outstanding Costa Rican organizations.

Amigos of Costa Rica was created in 2000 by the Costa Rica USA Foundation for Cooperation (CRUSA), which fully funds Amigos so that participating Costa Rican nonprofits can receive donations without any deductions for overhead.

Donate to Nosara Animal Care here or read more about the organization on its website or Facebook page.
