Third Starbucks to open in San José

The third Starbucks location in Costa Rica will open in Escazú, southwest of the capital, in September, the construction firm in charge of the project, GTU Desarrollos, announced.

The new shop will employ 24 people in a 200-square-meter facility.

The store is located within a new commercial sector called Distrito Cuatro, a real estate project consisting of 65,000 square meters of construction space that includes seven residential towers, a commercial area, offices and an entertainment area.

The Seattle-based coffee giant already operates two shops in Costa Rican malls, one in Avenida Escazú and another at Lincoln Plaza in Moravia, northeast of San José.

The first Starbucks in Costa Rica opened in June of last year.
