New hike in gas prices approved

The rise in the international price of fuel in September forced ​​the Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) to approve another increase in fuel prices this month.

Starting next week, the per-liter price of super gasoline will increase ₡30, from ₡756 to ₡786. The same increase applies to plus gasoline, which will cost ₡746 per liter, and diesel, which will increase ₡33 to ₡669 per liter.

The latest increase in fuel prices was approved on Sept. 27.

The new prices will go into effect when they are published in the government newspaper La Gaceta.
