Tambor tour to raise funds for local school

A Tambor resort is organizing a fundraising initiative that will raise money for the nonprofit Tambor Bay School and local conservation programs in this village on the southern Nicoya Peninsula.

Tambor Tropical has developed a Coast Rican trip itinerary during which visitors can learn about the natural history of Costa Rica and form a personal connection to the Tambor community and bay. All partners contributed their services free of charge or at a substantial discount to support the cause.

The itinerary includes land-based transportation, accommodation, meals and daily soft adventure activities with sustainable tour operators, as well as a volunteerism opportunity at Tambor Bay School.

The first trip is set for Aug. 13 to 18. The cost is $1,850 per person, with a maximum of 10 people. Reservations must be made by July 23. A second trip is scheduled for Nov. 12 to 17. For information, call 2683-0011 or email info@tambortropical.com.
