PHOTOS: San José Children’s Hospital lights up its giant Christmas tree
Downtown San José lit up Thursday night with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at the Children’s Hospital. The tradition has taken place since 1964 in the heart of “Chepe,” as San José is known, and this year the tree was decked out with 22,000 lights, according to an event manager. Hundreds of kids and parents enjoyed the latest edition of the tree-lighting ceremony, which included music and other festivities.
