Meet the September Sloth Kong photo contest winners

Congratulations to the winners of our September Sloth Kong airport photo contest! Bobby Workman submitted this photo of his daughters, Leyla, 8; A.J., 6; and River (aka Río), 4, and we found it the most interesting.

Workman says his family lives in Manuel Antonio and was flying out for a six-week East Coast trip to see their friends and family in North Carolina, New York and elsewhere.

“I remember my wife yelled at me for taking that photo and emailing it to you guys on the spot from my phone, because we were late for our flight,” he said. “Paid off in 15 minutes of fame, though.”

On behalf of this family, we’ll donate $100 to Asociación Sigannos los Buenos, which provides meals and love to hungry children in Guarari, Heredia.

The contest rules are simple: Take your photo with Sloth Kong next time you’re at Juan Santamaría International Airport and share it with us on FacebookInstagram or Twitter, or email it to sk@ticotimes.net. Be sure to include the hashtag ‪#‎SlothKong‬. Check out our tagboard here: wordpress-257819-2837440.cloudwaysapps.com/skcontest/.

Every month, we’ll choose the most creative photo and donate $100 on behalf of the winner to Asociación Sigannos los Buenos.

Congratulations to the Workmans!
