After two years, the tiny operation is doing pretty well: It just won a silver medal at Mazer Cup International, a prestigious mead competition based in Broomfield, Colorado. People are noticing its labels in gastropubs like Stiefel and El Gaff. And an obscure drink that was once unknown in Costa Rica now graces shelves in select tiendas across the Central Valley.
