Fair invites Ticos to travel

ExpoViajes 2013, the first trade fair for outbound tourism in Costa Rica, will be held on Feb. 9-10 at Hotel Herradura, in the province of Heredia.

The event will bring together airlines, representatives of international destinations, travel agents and tour operators, banking intermediaries and specialized press, “in order to promote tourism of Costa Ricans abroad,” ExpoViajes spokesman Leonel Bonilla said.

Although the fair is focused on vacation tourism, it will also promote educational tourism, according to Bonilla.

In its first session on Feb. 8, the fair will also convene business meetings among tourism executives and representatives of tourist destinations such as Miami and various Central America places.
