Forecast calls for more rain this week

Forecasts from the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) predict that hot mornings and evenings with heavy showers could continue all week.

The increase in rainfall is due to the presence of a low-pressure system, a common occurrence in October in Costa Rica.

The intensity of rainfall will be greater in the Central Valley and the Pacific. The Caribbean and the northern regions can expect better weather conditions, the report said.

Experts do not rule out that rains can be accompanied by hailstorms and heavy thunderstorms.

“These events are more common when temperatures are high during the mornings, with lots of moisture,” the report said.
