Business Magazine Gets New Partner

THE Costa Rican-American Chamberof Commerce (AmCham) recentlyannounced that its monthly English-languagebusiness magazine, Business CostaRica, will now be produced in partnershipwith Costa Rican business magazineActualidad Económica.The “all new, revamped” BusinessCosta Rica will include reporting andexpert analysis on Costa Rican businessnews, trade, investment, economic indicatorsand other topics, according to a letterfrom AmCham president Carlos Dentonand Actualidad Económica presidentAlvaro Trejos.Booming tourism and the possibilityof the ratification of the Central AmericanFree-Trade Agreement with the UnitedStates (CAFTA) have renewed interest inthe region and increased the need for reliableinformation on the region’s businessenvironment, the letter said.The first edition of the new andimproved magazine will hit newsstands inearly December, and will include articlesby former Tico Times staff reporterFabián Borges. It will be sold in hotels,the Juan Santamaría International Airport,Auto Mercado supermarkets and everywhereelse Actualidad Económica is sold.
