THE only fishingreport this weekis from ClubAmateur de Pesca,which held a surffishing tournamentin the Parismina areaon the northernCaribbean coast.As the photos tothe left attest they didwell and provedagain you don’t needa boat to catch fish in Costa Rica.Anglers should keep in mind the specialcalba (fat snook) package offered toresidents Nov. 20-22 at the Río ColoradoLodge in Barra del Colorado in theextreme northeast of Costa Rica.The cost is $570 per person and includesa charter flight from San José Nov. 20 at 1p.m., fishing from 2-5 p.m. with boat, guideand tackle, a full day of fishing Nov. 21, twonights’ lodging, fishing license, all mealsand an open bar (beer, soft drinks anddomestic liquor) and your choice of air orboat transport back to San José on Nov. 22.Not included are tips and lures, so bringyour own or purchase them there.
