Three Youths Rescued on High Seas

SAILORS from the Costa RicanCoast Guard in Golfito, in the SouthernZone, rescued three youths found adriftSunday, “at the mercy of the sea and ingrave danger,” Public Security Ministryofficials announced.The three young men, identified asGreivin Mora, Israel Amaya and AlbertoCaicedo, had set off from GolfitoSaturday for a fishing trip. However, theirsmall boat suffered a mechanical failurethat left them floating.A statement about the incident describedthe rescue as “fortunate,” as the CoastGuard sailors happened upon the three onthe high seas after marine currents hadpulled them deep into the Pacific.
