On this #GivingTuesday, two nonprofits with a shared mission create a new space for stories and information about people making a difference in Costa Rica.
Puerto Jiménez reminds me a lot of where I grew up: not very crowded, and estuaries always to be found. Today, I stumbled upon two young boys who were busy trying to catch fiddler grabs for snapper bait. Tons of memories came racing back, and the tears finally flowed.
"The rise in the number of infections is occurring among young women and gay men, both of whom live in situations of discrimination," Luiz Loures, deputy director of the UNAIDS program, told AFP.
