Thursday's deaths include the first two minors to die with COVID-19 in Costa Rica. They include a 9-year-old and a 12-year old, both of whom had prior immunological issues.
Health Minister Daniel Salas said Wednesday that COVID-19 has become Costa Rica's third-leading cause of death when compared to historical data from 2016-18.
