For almost a century, the inhabitants of Robinson Crusoe — named for literature's most famous castaway — have known that their island's fragile ecosystem depends on them conserving its unique wildlife.
Twelve municipalities that have taken measures and important steps to implement mitigation and adaptation to climate change, in order to become sustainable and walkable cities.
“We want a Costa Rica free of single use plastics, it is worth it to join this strategy,” said Beate Heycke, Asociación Conservación del Planeta’s founder and director.
The Costa Rica USA Foundation for Cooperation (CRUSA), a nonprofit based in San José, will issue grants of up to $10,000 to organizations with notable, scalable and innovative plans in Costa Rica.
