Bahía del Sol Offers a Quiet Beach Escape

SAN JUAN DEL SUR – Tucked into the rolling hills overlooking the horseshoe bay of San Juandel Sur, Bahía del Sol Villas and Condominiums offers a comfortable and quiet new way to experience the beach in a residential setting removed from the bustle and noise of downtown.

Less than a 10-minute drive north of town on a newly bricked road, Bahía del Sol offers the convenience and fun of San Juan del Sur with the panoramic view and privacy of a private home overlooking town.

“We are strategically positioned so that the villas have a view of the entire bay and ocean, and offer easy access to the best surfing beaches north of town, but without all the noise of downtown, so people can sleep at night,” said Miguel Vazquez, general manager of Bahía del Sol.

Just a short drive from both the southern border and some of Nicaragua’s hottest surf spots around San Juan del Sur, Bahía del Sol is trying to lure tourists from Costa Rica by offering special visa-renewal packages for $399, with all taxes included. The package rate, based on double occupancy, includes three nights in a fully furnished ocean-view villa, complete with cable TV, air-conditioning and Wifi Internet.

For those coming up from Costa Rica on the bus, Bahía del Sol will also arrange roundtrip border pickup and drop-off.

The spacious living room, kitchen and swimming pool make Bahía del Sol a good spot for families with kids or for surfers who want to eat in rather than worry about finding restaurants for every meal.

But for those who want to go out and grab a bite, it’s also a relatively easy walk to town thanks to San Juan del Sur’s new swinging footbridge on the north end of the beach.
