Ortega Lauds Obama’s Campaign as ‘Revolutionary’

President Daniel Ortega last week lauded U.S. Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama for inspiring a generation of young people to “transcend racial discrimination” and mobilize for change in the United States.

“We are facing an phenomena that is revolutionary,” Ortega said. “That doesn’t mean that there is already a revolution in the United States, but yes a foundation is being laid for revolutionary change in the United States.”

Ortega said that he had faith in God and in the “North American people, above all the North American youth, that the moment will come in which a great revolution, this great change will come, and we will have a United States that acts differently with respect to peace, equality and justice with the other nations on the planet.”
