Is Snoop Dogg’s Costa Rica Concert Still Happening?

Snoop Dogg’s highly anticipated concert in Costa Rica remains scheduled for December 3, despite recent legal developments involving one of the event’s producers. The show’s production team confirmed Friday that the concert will proceed as planned, following the arrest and subsequent release of producer Don Stockwell, who was linked to the investigation known as the “Exodus case.”

The announcement seeks to reassure fans and ticket holders who had expressed uncertainty about the event following news of Stockwell’s detention. According to the organizers, preparations are moving forward without changes, and the performance will take place at the Pedregal Event Center, as originally announced.

The American rapper is expected to make his first appearance in Central America, bringing his “The Next Episode” tour to Costa Rican audiences. The concert, restricted to attendees aged 18 and older, has been promoted as one of the country’s major international entertainment events of 2026.

Organizers also confirmed that tickets remain available through Publitickets and encouraged fans and media outlets to rely exclusively on official communication channels for updates regarding the event. The uncertainty surrounding the concert emerged after Stockwell was arrested on Wednesday, during a series of raids conducted as part of the “Exodus case.”

The operation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), is investigating an alleged criminal organization suspected of using entertainment events and other commercial activities to launder money. Authorities are examining whether a network associated with Edwin Vargas, known by the alias “Sobrino,” allegedly used proceeds from drug trafficking to finance concerts and other events in Costa Rica.

According to information released by the OIJ, investigators identified investments totaling at least $859,000 in entertainment productions organized between 2024 and 2025.The investigation seeks to determine the origin of those funds, how they were transferred into the entertainment industry, and the possible involvement of individuals connected to the operations.

Stockwell’s arrest raised questions about the future of upcoming concerts associated with his production activities. However, his subsequent release and Friday’s statement have provided reassurance regarding Snoop Dogg’s scheduled performance. For now, organizers maintain that the December concert remains unchanged, with preparations continuing as Costa Rican fans await the rapper’s historic first performance in the region.
