Tropical Storm Isaac’s wrath to spare Costa Rica

Although rain is forecast for Monday afternoon in Costa Rica, it will not be caused by Tropical Storm Isaac. According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), the storm will not cause adverse weather here.

Isaac currently is located 327 miles southeast of the Mississippi River mouth, and its projected course will keep it away from Costa Rica.

Nevertheless, IMN meteorologist Gabriela Chinchilla said heavy showers and possible thunderstorms could be in store for the Central Valley from a separate weather pattern.

Isaac caused the death of 29 people in Haiti last week.
