Byblos Hotel & Resort has announced that their search for a new and innovative executive chef has ended, awarding the position to locally popular culinary expert Chef Marcel Figueroa Iglesias.  Well recognized throughout Costa Rica for his popular TV show “Cooking with Chef Marcel”, as well as features in magazines such as Perfil, Ballena Tales, Boletines La Zona and others, Chef Marcel has become known as the Latin celebrity chef with his popular Youtube channel on cooking, as well as a new Facebook page that shares some of his favorite recipes.

The folks from HMCR Pride who arebringing Josh Flagg to Costa Rica as well as promoting the Jungle Heat Weekend. report that the Jungle Heat Party on July 23 will now be held at the more centrally located Club Layla near Quepos. They are bringing in two top-rated DJs for a night of electronic/dance music with the intention to produce a respectable event that local residents and business owners will enjoy. The event is GLBT friendly and they welcome all members of the community who wish to have a fun time.

For people looking for a more relaxed setting and the opportunity to meet Josh, the Thursday night dinner at Raphael’s Terrazas and the Sundays Sunset Dance at Barba Roja should be perfect.
