Uvita to host 1st Costa Ballena Fair

Tomorrow, on the country’s southern Pacific coast, Uvita will host the first Costa Ballena Fair, featuring offerings from area artists, craftspeople and businesses.

Costa Ballena is the name given to the stretch of coast from Dominical to Ojochal, home to Ballena National Marine Park and other natural wonders. The fair will be open to the public and aims to showcase what this beautiful region has to offer.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at La Perla del Pacífico, next to the gas station at Kilometer 161. There will be music, a traditional dancing group from San Josecito and the FantazzTico circus.

Take the wonderful new coastal road down to Uvita and check out the fair. For more information, e-mail costaballenaclub @gmail.com or call 2743-8072.
