A Cirque de Soirée-style presentation is coming up Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. at Karolas in Manuel Antonio. This will be a charity fundraiser with presentations of silks and pole acrobatics and a cocktail hour. Complimentary classes with international trainers and performers will be offered so people may try out this growing new fitness trend. Silks and pole workshops and classes also will be offered Oct. 11 and 12 at Spa Uno. For information and reservations, contact Liz Galloway at 2777-0641.

Don’t miss the fourth annual green-season chili cook-off at La Hacienda Restaurant Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. If you would like to enter your chili in the contest, stop by the restaurant to meet Mark and Karen Whitmire or call them at 2777-3473 for a registration form and rules.
