4.8-Magnitude Quake Rattles Pacific Coast

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake rattled the Pacific coast of Nicaragua Sunday without causing damages or injuries, according to Nicaragua s Institute of Territorial Studies.

The Sunday evening quake, with an epicenter 60 kilometers beneath the sea level off the shore of Chinandega, came just more than 12 hours after a 4.6-magnitude quake struck off the coast near Masachapa with no injuries or damages.
