According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), the country can expect heavy rainfall throughout Saturday afternoon and evening, into Sunday.
The seventh tropical wave of the year is to blame for heavy showers over most of Costa Rica. Downpours flooded streets in San José and Heredia on Monday.
Forecasts from the National Meteorological Institute state that rainy conditions will increase starting Thursday evening and will maintain throughout the weekend.
