The discovery of a grave containing the remains of as many as 800 babies at a former home for unmarried mothers in Ireland is yet another problem for the Irish Catholic Church.
The Supreme Elections Tribunal ruled against the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation last week, finding that a paid editorial leading up to the Feb. 2 election from the religious group restricted Ticos' freedom to vote, according to a press release from the elections authority last Friday, Feb. 28.
We Costa Ricans have an important date this Sunday, but I’m still not clear as to whether we’re headed to the polls or the Christian altars. Without a doubt, this electoral campaign has been more than saturated with religious morality.
