The Costa Rican Sports and Recreation Institute said the National Stadium can host only six concerts a year, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers would be the seventh. Pearl Jam is scheduled as the sixth concert in November. Promoters say “the show will go on” at the stadium.
The overture to an opera based on a 500-year-old score written by Leonardo da Vinci will be debuted this weekend by Costa Rica’s National Symphony Orchestra, under conductor Daniel Nazareth, composer of the opera.
