Body of U.S. woman found in a water tank

A domestic employee discovered the body of U.S. citizen Molly Jam Salomon, 55, in a water tank inside her home in San Isidro de Heredia, northeast of San José, where she had been living for several years.

A housekeeper told police that she arrived at the home Saturday morning and began looking for Salomon until she discovered the body inside the tank. She then called police.

Police are treating the case as a home invasion, having discovered a broken window in the back of the house, although no missing items were reported.

Judicial Investigation Police arrived to gather evidence at the scene.
