New Web Site Seeks to Promote Gay Pride

LAUNCHED June 26 – the dayof the Gay Pride Festival – the Website www.orgullogaycr.com is nowup and running. Seeking to “celebrateour identity, showing the world thatwe are proud to be gay,” the CostaRican site in Spanish includes featuressuch as the Páginas Rosadas (PinkPages), a free listing of businessesand services “free of homophobia”; aforum where victims of homophobicacts can share their stories; an explanationof gay symbology; a gay artsection; a classifieds section; and agay products listing, as well as linksto other gay Web sites.
