WELCOME HOME: Ronny Zamora, a Costa Rican who was paroledTuesday in the United States after serving 27 years in a Florida prison,was met by relatives when he returned to Costa Rica Wednesdaymorning.In a brief press conference later that day, Zamora thanked his familyand Costa Rica for supporting to him while he was in prison.“My family has been the motivation and what helped me overcomethese years in prison,” he said.He also thanked President Abel Pacheco and previous governmentadministrations for their efforts to lobby in favor of his release.Zamora, 43, was found guilty of murder in 1977, in the first trial to betelevised in the United States. Although he was 15 at the time, he wastried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison.
