Costa Rica Sloth Video: Though the journey may be difficult, keep climbing

The incredible story of Lola la Trailera, a two-fingered sloth with a taste for adventure! This adult sloth hitched a ride in the most unexpected way—by clinging onto the engine of a truck for 65 kilometers! That’s right, Lola journeyed under the hood of a moving vehicle, covering over an hour of travel before being discovered.

On July 16, the Toucan Rescue Ranch received a call for what seemed like a typical sloth rescue, but this one turned out to be anything but ordinary. Join us as we share how Lola survived this wild ride and made it back to the safety of the forest.

Thankfully, the truck driver spotted Lola near San José and alerted Toucan Rescue Ranch. They checked her for injuries and helped her recover from the unexpected trip before releasing her back into the wild.

Quite the journey for a two-fingered sloth!

Sometimes, life takes us to unexpected places. Though the journey may be difficult, sometimes you just have to enjoy the ride.
