Capture the magic: Final call for national photography contest

As Costa Rica’s dry season reaches its end, the country bursts with color thanks to its many species of flowering trees.

Fundación Árboles Mágicos (Magical Trees Foundation) has invited the public to capture the magic of Costa Rica’s flora as part of the organization’s annual photography contest.

More than just a friendly competition, Fundación Árboles Mágicos hopes to inspire the public to notice and appreciate nature and its many colors.

If a flowering tree has caught your eye recently, take its photo! The deadline for submissions is today, April 30.

Click here to upload your photo and participate in the contest.

The public will have the opportunity to browse submissions and vote for their favorites through May 15.

Fundación Árboles Mágicos strives to be a bridge connecting people and nature. The organization first held its annual photography contest seven years ago and welcomes submissions from anyone — professional photographers and cell-phone shots alike.

For more information, visit their Facebook page.
