This week in the Peace Corps: Keeping up with computers

Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) Taylor started a computer class with new computers given by the Ministry of Public Education.

Taylor teaches basic computer literacy while incorporating important life skills like self-esteem, critical thinking, and decision-making to help prevent cyberbullying and promote safe online habits.

With cell phone use on the rise, many volunteers focus on computer classes to try to introduce the youth to a more useful type of computing. These classes improve the information technology skill sets of their students, preparing them for future jobs and potential future studies at universities or technical schools.
