Ticos in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games

Ticos aren’t just popping up in the World Cup in Russia or the Tour de France, a small platoon of them have been competing in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean games in Colombia.

The Ticos in Barranquilla have won 16 medals so far, 12 bronze and four silver. There’s still time for them to get gold. The women’s under 21 soccer team won all their group stage games finished at the top of their group.

They’ll play against Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the semi-finals in their hunt for gold. Here are some other Ticos that have been representing Costa Rica in Barranquilla.

Colombia’s Andres Rendon won the gold medal, Venezuela’s Jovanni Martinez the silver medal, and Costa Rica’s Jose Roman and Nicaragua’s Jose Rivas the bronze medals in this event.
