PHOTOS: San José celebrates diversity and LGBTI rights

Thousands of people took to San José’s streets on Sunday for the city’s annual Diversity March, celebrating gay pride and the LGBTI community, and advocating for equal rights for all. Vice President Ana Helena Chacón, Justice Minister Cecilia Sánchez and other government officials, along with representatives of the private sector, embassies and community groups from around the country, took part in the celebration.

Here are a few images from the huge gathering, which formed on Paseo Colón and marched to the Plaza de la Democracia Sunday afternoon.
