Starbucks Debuts Summer Menu in Costa Rica with Four New Drinks

Starbucks has rolled out its 2026 summer menu at participating stores across Costa Rica, with four featured beverages now available as part of a regional launch across Latin America and the Caribbean. The lineup includes the new Iced Cherry Chai Latte, the Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso, the Horchata Frappuccino and the Tropical Butterfly Refresher.

The debut also marks the return of Starbucks Single-Origin Perú Mujeres de Junín, a whole-bean coffee cultivated by women producers in the Peruvian Andes. The Iced Cherry Chai Latte combines spiced chai with a Blossoming Cherry cold foam. The Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso pairs espresso and oat milk with cinnamon, vanilla and toasted rice notes drawn from the traditional Latin American beverage. The Horchata Frappuccino offers a blended version of the same flavor profile.

The Tropical Butterfly Refresher combines passion fruit and guava with mango and pineapple pearls. Its purple color comes from butterfly pea flower, an ingredient that changes hue in response to acidity. According to the company, Starbucks Single-Origin Perú Mujeres de Junín is produced by approximately 75 women coffee growers from the Cafetalera del Centro association, in a region where the Andes converge with the Amazon. The coffee was first introduced in 2023.

“This season is about meaningful moments, in our stores and in every cup,” said Cristian Paredes Costa, senior brand and product marketing manager for Starbucks Latin America and the Caribbean, in the company’s announcement. The seasonal drinks, whole-bean coffees and a limited-edition spring merchandise collection are available for a limited time at participating Starbucks locations in Costa Rica. The company is running parallel promotions through the Starbucks Rewards app and partner delivery platforms.

Starbucks operates around 30 locations here in Costa Rica, concentrated in the San Jose Area with stores in Guanacaste, the Central Pacific and other regions. The chain’s only coffee farm in the world, Hacienda Alsacia, is located on the slopes of the Poás volcano in Alajuela
