A quarter century has elapsed since EARTH University opened its classrooms. The school’s mission was to train an international student body in farming and biological sciences – particularly rural youths who could return to their home towns and share what they learned.
The supermarket chain’s new "Responsibly Grown" produce rating system was launched earlier in October and divides fruits, flowers and vegetables into three categories: Good, Better and Best, based on suppliers’ farming practices.
