The pro marijuana legalization movement is ready to throw money at a presidential candidate who will support it. But few are stepping up.

After years of cycling through anti-convulsive medications, the family of an 8-year-old girl debilitated by seizures is now desperate to try a marijuana oil that has helped American children in similar conditions.

Clearwater County, Idaho, has a population of fewer than 10,000 people. It seems like overkill to keep an armored truck on hand for the purpose of "marijuana eradication." This is especially true when you consider that in recent years, the number of marijuana grow sites discovered in the entire state of Idaho can be counted on one hand.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — It's official: the U.S. government's top drug cop has acknowledged that marijuana is less dangerous than heroin.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, enhances the maturation of collagen, the protein in connective tissue that "holds the body together." Says Yankel Gabet of Tel Aviv's Bone Research Laboratory who led the study, "After being treated with CBD, the healed bone will be harder to break in the future."

"These findings, consistent with those from earlier studies, provide the strongest empirical evidence yet that medical marijuana laws do not account for increased use of marijuana in U.S. adolescents," the researchers write.

For many Costa Ricans, marijuana legalization conjures images of dreadlocked hippies lying in hammocks getting baked. This perception is precisely what CannaCosta 2015, Central America's first annual conference about the medicinal and industrial uses of cannabis and hemp, tried to change.

The turning point for Enrique Ceciliano, former delegation chief in the Southern Zone canton of Pérez Zeledón, came after one drug operation left a pregnant mother and her children without a home.

Medical marijuana would only be approved as a "last resort” treatment after all other options have been exhausted, the ministry said.

The groups Movimiento Cannábico Costarricense and Cannabis Medicinal Costa Rica organized the march with the help of other legalization supporters.
