Costa Rican anti-drug authorities confiscated this Monday a little more than 900 kilograms of marijuana that was hidden on a Caribbean island of the country’s coast, according to the Public Security Ministry.
The marijuana was found with a city worker who patrols Isla Uvita, in the province of Limón, one of the most heavily trafficked areas in the country.
According to the report, both the guard and another employee were arrested with the drugs. Security officials had been monitoring the island for two weeks.
