Real Madrid star Keylor Navas makes Costa Rican teen’s wish come true

Billy Orozco is a 16-year-old Costa Rican who is unable to walk due to cerebral palsy, but he loves football and, above all, his idol: Costa Rica’s Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas. Spanish telecom company Movistar flew Billy and his family to Madrid last month and arranged a special meeting with Navas.

The family spent three days in Madrid from Nov. 25-28, where they enjoyed tours of the capital’s main attractions. The biggest surprise, however, was a Santa Claus who was handing out gifts on a random street. Suddenly, Santa Claus removed his costume, and it was Keylor.

Navas first learned of his Tico fan in October, and at the time he sent Billy an autographed jersey. Keylor’s father, Freddy Navas, personally delivered the jersey at Billy’s school in Santo Domingo in Heredia, north of Costa Rica’s capital, where he is currently finishing 10th grade.

Billy’s favorite hobby is playing football with his friends, and he always plays goalie, sporting Keylor Navas’ #1 jersey from Real Madrid.
