The Spay and Neuter Clinic was a HUGE success, taking care of 104 animals! One veterinarian, Dr. Blas Rivas, and his most capable four assistants did an amazing job. A big thanks goes to Diana Holder from SASY for approving this clinic and sending this great team. Also a really big muchísimas gracias goes to the Quepos Fire Station for allowing the clinic to use the station and to the firemen for helping out when they were needed. Little did they know when they volunteered the space that it would go on for 13 hours! Many people made this a success, and thanks go to Byblos Resort & Casino for the rooms, El Gran Escape Restaurant, Soda Sánchez, MilagrosRestaurants, and Miguelito’s for all the meals.
Also thanks go to the Quepos Ladies Group, La Mansion, Amigos de los Animales and all the volunteers including Pam of Barks & Bubbles who clipped nails and cleaned the ears of every animal. Many thanks to those who contributed cash that covered those who could not afford to pay. Thanks to the responsible pet owners who brought their animals and spent a very long day waiting for their turn with the greatest of patience. It was an amazing day!
