City Officials to Attend Brazil Conference

Two San José city officials will attend a three-day conference starting Monday in Brazil to discuss challenges facing cities with more than a million people in Latin America and the Caribbean. Representatives from 80 cities in Latin America, the Caribbean, the United States and Europe will meet to discuss security, urban restoration and waste disposal, among other issues. Vladimir Klochkov, who heads San José’s urbanization department, will speak at the conference.
