After two days of rain, sun returns Wednesday

Cold temperatures and rain have drenched Costa Rica the past two days, during the typically sunny, dry season.

According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), these weather conditions were caused by winds from the Caribbean Sea and the presence of relatively high humidity in the atmosphere, which resulted in rainfall accumulation in clouds over the country.

After Tuesday, the IMN predicts a return to warmer temperatures and no rainfall in the majority of the country.
