Cricketers in Costa Rica demonstrate skills at exhibition in La Sabana

A young cricket player pitches a ball at the 2014 Cricket Association. Hosted by the Costa Rica Cricket Federation, the four-hour event took place Saturday morning at the National Gymnasium, where seasoned players and practiced rookies got to show their stuff. While the playing area was miniaturized (an actual field is circular and may measure 150 meters in diameter), visitors had the chance to see live demonstrations of the centuries-old English game. British Ambassador Sharon Campbell and representatives of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago were in attendance.
