German man robbed, stabbed in San José on Saturday morning

Police are looking for five suspects in relation to a robbery that a sent a German man to the hospital early Saturday morning with stab wounds, according a report issued by the Judicial Investigation Police.

The German man, who’s last name is Norbet, left a bar around 2:20 a.m. Saturday morning walking toward his hotel, the report said. Along the way, on a street near Morazán Park in downtown San José, five suspects assaulted and robbed the man, stabbing him in the chest. The assailants fled the scene with approximately $500 in cash.

Norbet was taken to San Juan de Dios Hospital and reported to be in stable condition, authorities said.
