President Chinchilla will travel to Japan in December
Costa Rica’s President Laura Chinchilla will make an official visit to Japan Dec. 6-10, according to a press release from Casa Presidencial Wednesday.
“During this stay in Japan, the president will be received by His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor Akihito of Japan, and will be the guest of honor at a lunch, offered only to a limited number of heads of states every year,” the release said.
Chinchilla also will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda. The visit will help “strengthen ties even more” between the countries, the release said.
