Francisco Munguía’s “Perros en la calle” (“Dogs in the Street”), a whimsical reinterpretation of The Beatles’ “Abbey Road” album cover, is up through Oct. 23 at the Calderón Guardia Museum in eastern San José, as part of an exhibit honoring the World Society for the Protection of Animals’ World Animal Week. Describing his motivation for the piece, the artist said, “In my house I have six dogs with different disabilities, all caused by traffic accidents.” Courtesy of Francisco Munguia.
