Don’t Swallow Coke or Stick It You-Know-Where

As of September, police at JuanSantamariaAirport had busted 26 drugrunning “mules” for smuggling cocaine in creative places, such as inside their body.

Some had swallowed it. Some had placed it in their orifices down there.

Besides getting busted and spending time in a U.S. or Tico prison, these mules risk serious bodily harm if the cocaine package bursts. One mule, a Tico, nearly died in June.
