Bible, Science Can’t Justify Anti-Gay Stance
Dear Tico Times:
In response to Paul Kokoski’s letter of May 9, two things cannot be ignored:
1. His use of the Bible as a moral authority. Does he realize the Bible also condones slavery and second-class treatment of women, among other atrocities?
You either take the Bible as your moral authority or disregard it. You cannot pick and choose what suits you.
2. He turns to science. I suggest that before he uses science to back his argument (and his facts are wrong), he should take a look at what science has to say about the Bible, religion, the Earth being created in 4000 B.C., etc.
Whatever your opinion on the subject of his letter – homosexuality – I hope his letter is ignored in your evaluation.
